I don't get it, did Crawford really say that? Or is he actually saying something that isn't Kobe nuthugging?

No, he didn't actually say that. But whatever he did say, that's what Artest interpreted the meaning to be.

 

Screw Joey Crawford, the Lakers, and Ron Artest.

 

I think he is saying that Crawford "said" that through his actions/calls. He never said a word about the Rockets or Kobe, I'm sure.

 

Ron Artest is a joke and he had many of you fooled last year.

When I saw the headline that Artest mentioned his drinking because of his youth outreach, I thought he was trying to BS out of what he said earlier. But, reading his quotes, I think it's wise (whether he was doing damage control or not). He knows stories about his misadventures will get around; it makes him a better role model to confess upfront and explain why it was a mistake, then for the kids to call him a hypocrit behind his back.
