Kazemi was born in Iran and is currently playing for Oregon who just beat Oklahoma State. He had 17 rebounds in that game. Against Washington, he scored 11 of the 16 overtime points to help them win a game in the Pac-10 Tournament. He's a Power Forward, played for Rice for 3 years, and is entering the draft this year, so he knows Houston well. He's an insane dunker and reminds me of a Persian Blake Griffin. He has good Defensive skills but is a bit undersized (Morey likes that;)) He's not on any mock drafts I've seen lately but neither is any player from Oregon. Not a good Three-Point Shooter, but has a pretty good midrange game. Kinda like a Patrick Patterson when 2Pat started. Good post game and could do well next to Asik and Robinson. If Robinson doesn't pan out well, he'd be a good solution. A big steal in the 2nd round or even a pick-up undrafted. What do the Rockets Fans think?

This might be going a bit far... I saw him get stuffed by the rim on a wide open dunk during today's game... however, I do like him as a player. He was one of the reasons I picked Oregon. Definitely think he has a place in the NBA on someone's bench.

Yeah I saw that too and I just facepalmed........but he has great hands and a huge vertical. If he can just find his way around the defense, he'd do pretty well.

I talked to him once when I worked at Rice. He was pretty nice, which was refreshing because I was but a lowly hourly worker who when outside was always dirty/sweaty/covered in paint/sunburnt.

But I don't think he'll be an NBA player. I saw him play a few times in person at Rice and thought that maybe he had a chance. But after seeing his games at Oregon, I don't think he has a future as an NBAer. Hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it.

Kazemi is a lying sack of schit. He lied about the reasons for leaving Rice so he could "transfer up" to Oregon without having to sit out a year

I have no respect for him

he'll never make it in the NBA anyways -- too short and his offensive game is limited to put-backs.

Yeah, I think Kazemi and his rep filed a claim to the NCAA stating something about Rice University "basically" was being racists and discriminatory towards him. So practically he was lying just so he didn't have to sit out for a year at Oregon. Not a good look. I honestly hope he fails.

I'd rather have Doug McDermott. Same size but much more NBA ready and a better skill set fit for what we do.

Why do you assume kazemi was lying? I guess his teammate and assistant coach were lying as well?
