Ariza said Morey told him before free agency he wouldn't be back with the team.

you can't actually believe Morey made no effort considering his 2best players were buddies with Ariza.

One way I took this is that Morey said "we don't think that's gonna happen" because he knows the market and knew the Rockets wouldn't be able to afford him, and would not be willing to spend what they were expecting him to go for anyway.

I still love Trev but there's two sides to every story. I'm sure there's actually more to it.

Did you misquote the wrong post because what you said made no sense.

Probably accurate but missing information and a timeline.

At some point im sure ariza and his agent approached morey about Phoenix and their offer or comparable offers they were receiving and asked for a quality contract to stay.

At which point Murray did the finances with the Till-man and said what was said.

    Nope.

i don't see how you can even speculate that morey did not communicate with Ariza seeing his relationship with Paul and Harden.

Tillman blamed Ariza for not winning against the warriors and told Morey not to bring him back. That’s my guess. Probably Tillman was so upset he didn’t want to see him again. How many 3s did he missed?

Anyway even if he missed so many shots I wished we could have kept him.

There's no reason why Morey, or any GM, would tell a trusted player up front that the team wasn't interested in re-signing him. You always check the price first. Therefore, you can be pretty certain that if Morey said this, he had already checked the price.

Trevor probably asked Morey if they can give him 15 mil next year even before the free agency began.

I am not saying anything other than Morey is an ice cold killer but ice cold. He wasn't known to be a gentle guy.

He is all business and asset management, as he should be. There is nothing humane about him.

He is lucky that Harden is durable as hell and decided to make this city his own, otherwise it would not have looked good.

It's a good thing ariza gone. We need someone that doesnt choke in the playoffs. Tired of him shooting 20% from 3s in the playoffs.

It seems like he was willing to take a discount but Morey didn't even bother to TRY. He actualy assumed he wouldnt be able to sign him and didnt even hold the talks? Thats some losers stuff man

Apparently, Morey was tipped off that Lebron was 99% to Houston. Unfortunately, Morey believed the bogus tip and it cost us Ariza.

It’s not that they lost Ariza. It’s who they replaced him with.

Typical trevor. 1-8 from deep. He did look spry though.
