Plus Foster was money last night. He was explosive, fought for extra yardage and looked like his old self.
Tate will take the money and run(as he should).... Foster will be just as good if we use him as a reciever sometimes.....
Kubiak said he came up with it because Jones was injured throughout the week. He said that Tate was essentially playing FB. Spencer said during the broadcast that the 2-back backfield may have contributed to the first INT.
I guess we can Finally stop the "Tate is better than Foster" and the "Release Foster and sign Tate" Talk......
This is the first game that he's looked like the Foster of 2 years ago. Good to see him running hard again.
No, he looked good against the 49ers, but he still didn't go off. Foster of 2 years ago routinely went off on games like today. For example, in the first quarter he broke his longest run of the year for a meager 18 yards. He then proceeded to break a 22 yard run and 23 yard run. The old Foster used to break long runs like today so hence my statement.
Now they are yes. Look at the stats before today's game. http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/rushing/sort/rushingYards/year/2013/seasontype/2 Lowest YPC besides Doug Martin. No 20+ runs until today. So many more backs having better years than Foster until today's game. I certainly hope he can keep it up so he can get back to being elite.
And yet Tate didn't do the same... Must have been just like the first few weeks where the line was only blocking for one of the backs.
