And he did take Hannah for a workout at his brother's gym....So again, it seems like he's not taking to the media, unless he gets to promote the gym. Smart, but that's why it's hard to believe everything else. He's got to reel them in with more than a free workout.

The dude is done. He's got nothing left after that back injury and he knows it thus the 'douchery' and talkin of late.

When it comes to superstars who's skills diminished and they had to validate via opening their mouth and saying/doing outlandish things also see: D. Wade, T-Mac, TO, ED Reed, Ron Artest, etc.

See I dont think he is lying or exagerating at all because he has mentioned many times over the years that he would walk away from football before he would drive himself into the ground.

Of course, he didn't say that.

Foster: Initially when it happened, you know it wasn't just a regular injury that you play through. It happened just like on a simple routine. I cut and I just felt like my back, this little slip. It was awkward. I tried to play the next play with it too, but I couldn’t even lift my knees.

    Storm: Was it scary?

Foster: It is scary. Because you don’t know what it is, especially with a back. A spine injury. You can be paralyzed, that’ll change the course of your life forever. Those are the kinds of thoughts that run through your head.

Why are his comments here remotely controversial? Some of you people are miserable.

I was a huge foster fan, felt back sided by his "big timer" attitude of recent, but now am back with him.

Seriously, screw the media, screw the fans, screw the game...none of it is worth your life and health. He should totally do what he wants to do!

There's no doubt that he'd walk away bc I don't think he has as much love for the game compared to many others....mostly bc he sees himself as more than a football player.

Except that he did. His injury had nothing to do with paralysis, so no need for him to bring that up when the topic of his injury came up. Just being more dramatic than necessary.

I see the soul-searching that Andre Johnson went through this summer as parallel to the soul-searching Arian talked about.

Whether you like philosophy or not, we all have a philosophy. What is the meaning of my life so far? What defines me? Who am I?"

Andre asked it one way: "What if I never win it all if I stay with the Texans?" Arian asked it another way: "Can I risk debilitating injury for the fame and fortune of being a pro player?"

Seeing it as it concerns their life, I think we ought to give Arian as much respect as we have given Andre.

For me, Andre endangered the team more with his demand to be traded. With Arian, what we don't know is if he becomes tentative, less aggressive because of the fear of injury? Can he recover mentally?

What a horrible thing. Do you see yourself just as whatever your job is?

Anytime people have severe back or neck injuries, those kinds of things go through their head. Just because he knows now that it wasn't a spine injury doesn't mean he didn't think about it or freak him out at the time.

When you treat everyone around you as if they are somehow beneath you, and you're generally just not a very likable person, you have to expect a little backlash.

This is nothing new or complicated.
