Probably because of the infidelity. But honestly I've always seen him as a warm hearted person that never forgot where he came from, especially after he signed his contract during the press conference he spoke in great lengths of the sacrifices of what his mom did for him to bring him to this point.
At his peak, he reminded me of Marcus Allen. But thinking about his peak just makes me angry that the '09-'12 era underachieved...
In hindsight, that 2012 season might have killed his career. https://www.profootballfocus.com/bl...rs-2012-high-usage-and-career-arc-comparison/
Yeah, scumbag is a little strong. He's had some baby mama drama, but that's not scumbaggery. There was some rumors about him forcing/coercing his alleged mistress to get an abortion, but that was just that, rumor.
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d826074a3/Divisonal-Weekend-Arian-Foster Could have used Arian this past weekend. He would have fought/scratched/dragged himself into the endzone at least one time.
You talk about wanting to "move on" in one thread, then an hour later you post about "what if's" involving a player that has a likely career ending injury.....you are sending mixed signals here.
This is an Arian Foster appreciation thread. And I posted a video of his performance a few years back. If you don't think he would have scored this past weekend, I don't care. Not making an argument or trying to make a point, just appreciating Arian's time as a Texan. That is a far cry from what you are doing in other threads.
It should be 0%. Save about 6-7 million of cap space by releasing him. He might sign back for a cheaper deal, but really no reason to continue with him.
I would bring him back if they can't bring in one of the top two RBs in the draft or one of the top 5 RBs in FA.
Incredibly slim. The Texans save 6.5 million dollars by cutting him and he's going to be a 30 year old running back coming off of an Achilles tear. That's not worth a whole lot. I'd love it if he got a chance to earn a spot, but he'd have to be cut and then signed to a "prove it" one year deal.
Judging by his brother's tweets, and the assumption that they probably have similar views in football, Foster won't be back on a cheaper deal. I don't think he's crazy about OB and apparently he wants new uniforms, anyway
If he happens to sign with a team on the Texans schedule, I just hope it doesn't happen to be one of the 4 games he plays all year.
