Imo id rather go after a strong PF or another play maker then give howard another max contract. If I was him id opt out and try to resign before he reinjures himself or some bull****.

Dude is 29 and is injury prone, cant even play the b2b when the season just started? What type of superstar is this? reminds me of tmac all over again, but atleast tmac proved himself in houston before he pulled this **** off.

Rockets organization has lied to you about his health. He's more hurt than they're telling us.

Dwight almost certainly expects the Rockets to give him a super max, and Morey would be crazy to do so. I think it's going to get ugly.

Yes, I hope he leaves since he's going to demand max dollar for far less than the max results you expect for that money and guaranteed he will never be the same. He's more injured than they are letting on, still, so it's definitely not a preference right now.

Dwight Howard last season was one of the best defensive centers in the league. He made opponents not want to come to the paint at all - and it shows clearly in the stats.
And he showed up in the playoffs where it counts.

If you think its easy to replace his on court contributions either by Capella or someone else you will be dissapointed.

Now is he worth the max?

I'm not sure he'll expect that with his injuries.

Give him an offer but not the max

I think he expected that he'd get the "super max" back when he signed with us, but I'm thinking that's changed.

why would he not opt out? he would be a idiot not to opt out and look for another max contract before he gets too old.

Demar is expecting 20 per. Batum too. T.Jones around 15. Tristan Thompson demanded and got almost the max.
Lets not underestimate what the players will be expecting next year.

youre effin crazy if you dont think hes not expecting the max. Did you see the contract that TT just got with the cavs?

with the new tv deals in place, a team is certainly going throw him the max and see if he bites.

Who would give him max money though? Even max money under the old CBA. He's not worth 22 mil a year anymore if he can only play 60 games in the regular season.

Why are you guys trying to run Dwight out of Houston? I hope he stays unless Morey can find someone better. Newsflash: there aren't a lot of centers out there. Plus I trust Morey will do what best for the team.

Add Indiana and if Pau opts out (very possible) Chicago.
