90% of Americans would say they were fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I know DonnyMost. I've posted in threads with DonnyMost. DonnyMost has watched election returns in my apartment. You, sir, are no DonnyMost.
I hate the term moderate. There is no such thing. Either you're conservative, conservative leaning, liberal leaning, or liberal and this applies to both economic and social issues.
Sure moderate has a meaning. It means "I don't give enough of a **** to care either way" Also known as apathy.
wow way to generalize.. Let's take the definition of a fiscal conservative.. -limited govt.. check -lower taxes... check -advocates personal responsibility - check -less govt running our lives - check.. Hmm I am not a social conservative because I do not think the Govt has the right to dictate if two people can be married, or tell a woman if she can or cant have an abortion.. Just my opinion.. and what does having know donnymost have anything to do with anything.. and 90% of america is not a fiscal conservative social liberal.. if that was the case we wouldn't have who we have in the white house right now.. cause Obama is the definitely no fiscal conservative...
maybe it means you can listen to both sides and make your decision based on the issue being discussed. you cant just put a huge blanket over everything. On some issues they could be conservative leaning and on others they could be liberal leaning. From what I have read most of America is now the independent/moderate crowd and I am starting to believe that with what we saw in Massachusetts.
What a tight wire you must walk, considering that the Republicans are neither socially liberal nor fiscally conservative.
I totally agree. The randian utopia is for suckers who doesn't realize that executives who run large corporations act neither libertarian nor randian even if they claim to support it.
No, but I know the positions of pretty much every Republican in office. There is a record and a platform, after all. The stated positions of the Republican Party are a matter of public record. And they represent neither fiscal conservatism nor social liberalism.
