I think the perception around the league is that we are soft. I don't think we really have an enforcer on this team. Is it the 3pt gimmicky offense? Is it the constant ref baiting for calls? What do you guys think?
Yea because fans in general hate Harden and labels him as a flopper and people haven't forgotten what happen last year in game 6.
Our starting big guys are Capela and Anderson, not really tough players. Our starting SF doesnt play with a lot of intensity most of time, despite of his known reputation as a "great defender".... And our starting SG is James Harden... Also, we normally play smallball, with midgets on the lane, so we are easier to get bullied inside.... And we're missing probably our toughest player in Nene. All in all, we are not a difficult team to intimidate.
It just seems like more often than not teams are trying to out physical us these days. Like the scouting report says we're soft and we'll quit if you get physical with us.

Would have liked to have seen the same determination and fight on the court as they showed pushing their way to the Clips locker room last night. Didn't see enough fight until toward the end of the game when the game was pretty much decided and they were getting their feelings hurt by the Clips bench and Blake's punk ass trash talking to them. Should have been trying to shut them up way before the end of the game. Rox have more material for the naysayers to poke fun at after last night.
The perception is definitely there as more teams have resolved to being physical and it has worked quite well. We get rattled, start to complain to the refs who already do not like us and do not even try to get physical with them. So yes.
I agree but this is disheartening as well. One is a oft injured big at the end of his road, and the others are your pg and sf. The bigs and Tucker were getting punked all night last night by Blake with no resistance. When the 3s aren’t falling this team seems to cower more times than not. Disappointing.
Yes, because we are soft, especially in the paint, oh we have some players that are tough, like PJ Tucker, etc....but for the most part, we play soft basketball, quick up and down transition, 3pt shooting, lackidasical D playing basketball. DD
What do you mean "around the league"? Are you saying other NBA teams think we are soft? Or, are you talking about fans? What makes you think the Rockets are perceived as soft? Do you think the Rockets are soft?
I'm speaking of other teams and how physical teams are trying to be with us lately. I don't necessarily believe we are soft, but I wouldn't be against us adding a big that is also viewed as an enforcer that is not to be f*cked with.
