Are there bigger waste of money signings this offseason than Fail Jackson, Dreck Fisher and Melo?

This Shams is scooping up quite a lot as a newbie. Must have something to do with the increasing urbanization of reporter/journalists

The increasing urbanization of Santa has resulted in Rockets-Only-Gifts.
Black Santa won't do jack for the Knicks.

I hope I ain't trying too hard

Not gonna happen. Kobe's old bones will be lucky to finish this season and next season. By that time, there would be no use in moving to another team, especially when nobody would pay him much.

Kobe's last contract ensured he would never leave the Lakers. Even if he still had something left, it would be an act of betrayal to leave considering the Lakers gave him $48 million as a thank you gift.

Good thing we didn't waste that cap space on making the team dysfunctional...

oh wait, we have Josh Smith.

Has Phil ever won anything without the absolute stars on his team? No. His system isn't worth ****.

    LOL at Phil and Melo.

Melo can shut it down....and then during Knicks games, Melo and Phil can just sit in a suite laughing and counting their money.

Cap space not needed to make a team dysfunctional. We managed to get more pieces with the space we had.

Dude, don't even compare the Rockets losing a couple of games to the ongoing disaster that is the Knicks franchise.

Text is in German (I think?), but you get the idea. A lot of confusion. A lot. [IMG]

I think the triangle is a good system. But it requires smart, creative, skilled players which they just don't have. Also both the Bulls and the Lakers could turn up the defense when the shots weren't falling. My schwanz plays better defense than this Knicks team.

I hate Phil Jackson as much as anyone, but what he was good at as a coach was getting the most of of stars.

Jordan, Kobe, Pippen all never won before or after Phil. Shaq won again but he also had Pat Riley/Dwade to help him out.

Jackson isn't a Pop coach who gets the most out of whatever he has, but he is arguably the best at making Star/Superstar level players at their absolute peak.

The Knicks are terrible all-around and have begun gutting the roster a third of the way through the season. Looking ahead to this summer, I don't see how this team can make significant upgrades to become a contender as Phil promised Melo to get him to re-sign this past offseason. Sure, Phil will have about $30 million to rebuild a contending roster. However, in the current crop of 2015 free agents, only Gasol and Aldridge fit the bill of stars that would complement Melo. However, both are playing for top contenders in the West and very unlikely to leave. Most likely scenario is the Knicks getting another Amare-type "consolation" prize rather than a real superstar.
