A diet change is all about convenience. There are three big factors:

    1. Cooking and eating at home more
    2. Social eating (lunch/dinner with friends)
    3. Support of significant other (biggest imo)

If you can maneuver these three items then you’re golden.

I went mostly plant based in November of last year to become more healthy. I don’t call it vegan because, based on my observations, that’s a title with religious connotations. I’m not doing it for ethical reasons although I am happy to not support the meat industry.

My philosophy is this: if a friend or family member wants to cook me food, I’m going to eat it and enjoy it. I don’t hate animal products, they are just bad for your body.

I haven’t really lost any weight but I do feel MUCH better. I also feel way more zen then I used to, which might be derogatory to my business interests as being aggressively driven was part of my motivation but I’m working it out.

If you’re interested in a plant based diet watch the Netflix documentaries (in this order): The Game Changers and Forks Over Knives.

I also highly recommend the website https://nutritionfacts.org/. It’s run by a MD that backs all of his nutrition recommendations on study based facts.

Right now is an excellent time to change your lifestyle for the better.

Going on 7 years now for me

... and since we completely regenerate all of our cells every 7 years, I have now become a pure born again vegan god. I am efficiency and my powers are mighty.

I made some beyond beef burgers yesterday. Smells like cat food but tastes pretty good. I'd choose it over beef

I was semi vegan , it's healthy to eat meat in moderation but it' does stinks while cooking and after you get full, through a friend to a friend's end of friendship circle, I got a one and half big Horn ram ,(100 pounds, ok maybe less but seemed heavy) meat, taste fine, 81 pound more to go before becoming semi vegan again

But seriously...the only good tofu I've ever had was in miso soup (which is one of the 5 greatest soups on earth), and I eat tons of beans and grains and veggies and such...

What is your absolute favorite vegan dish to make at home? Also, what would be your go-to vegan dish to cook for meat-eaters?

I'm cooking this in the next few days, so hook me up with the recipe.

That may be true, but I like the smell of patchhouli oil. My significant other hates it. When I was a hippie back in the '60's (who used to hunt from time to time, btw) most of my girlfriends used it. You'd walk into an "alternative" shop and it would smell of patchouli. I have some patchouli incense I keep sealed up. When she's out of town, sometimes I burn a stick.

I have no idea why I'm talking about this. KC posted about 15 links to threads (in a thread, of course) for no apparent reason and this is one. So I've been plowing through them and most are pretty good, or at least entertaining, which is about the same thing. Usually one of my posts are in there. At least so far. He can be a diabolical cat. Must be the spots.

I just figured it out. All the threads were posted by Jacoby. Duh! The entertainment is from reading the responses.

Why do most of jacoby’s problems seem to stem from the meat? And cocaine...can’t forget about the cocaine

Processed tofu-"meat" is nasty. Tastes like what I imagine to be rat poison.
