I think we are good team now and are elite when healthy.

All these games would have been blow outs with Schaub, Mario, Hartmann*, and AJ healthy

I am not quite ready for that yet. Not scoring as much as Schaub.

I think we are a very good team, maybe not elite. To me, to be considered elite, you need more than 1 good season and a good record against other possible 'elite' teams (1-2 this season vs Pit, Bal, NO).

If we can repeat what we did season next year, I'll change my vote to 'yes.'

We are very good. In a month, hopefully we are elite.

Odd list...I'd rank some of the teams in your "Very Good" list over ones in your "Elite" list. And the Jets? Really?

Please, tell me which teams are better than GB, NE, Pitt, and Bal. The only one that you could possibly consider putting in that catagory would be NO, but still, they're not better than either of those 4. Don't even bother saying SF is up there.

And yeah, you may be right about the Jets. I think they're like Baltimore, could be moved down.

    I'd put NOLA above Pitt

Hey guys! I just jumped on the Texans wagon.

I hope this one will last a little longer than that wagon I was on a few years back when the 'Stros made it to the world series. That wagon broke way too quickly.

I don't fear teams with good offenses, I fear teams with good defenses. Which would be Pittsburgh and Baltimore. I think our defense can hang with all of the best offenses in the league. They've improved 10-fold since the shootout in New Orleans.

A team losing to TB and StL isn't above last years NFC champs, sorry.

NE has looked pretty vulnerable and their defense is plain bad. The Saints look pretty invincible at home. I'd put switch NO and NE, and move Pitt down to "very good"status. They've gotten their act together, but I can't just ignore their horrible start. And I'd take the Jets out of there entirely. They stink.

    Just my perspective though.

Just being logical here but... when's the last time we faced a Brees caliber QB? There are only a handful of em', but Matt Ryan is the closest we've come to facing a good QB since. And his receivers dropped a hell of a lot of balls. Just saying...

A team that can put points on the board easily is a bigger threat I think. Bigger affect on game tempo, play calling, clock management if your team falls behind. If it's good defense/bad offense like SF, at least the game would likely stay within reach points wise.
