last year rockets were almost 8th ...not much improvement with Harden when you look at it that way...

Comparing 2 almost completely different teams makes absolutely no sense.

I just don't see how anyone could make this point and actually be serious. We went from a team filled with vets to a team filled with young playes who haven't peaked.

You put harden on last years team in place of Martin and Lowry and that team would easily have outperformed this years team.

how many of last seasons rockets are still here? this is basically an entirely different team with a bunch of inexperienced players. people wouldnt be surprised to see us be one of the worst in the league. thats where our expectations were, is to just be "learning" this season, not any type of contenders.

    Your argument is WAY invalid.

I just got a chance to finish watching last night's game. My conclusion as a casual fan? NO, the Rockets are not better without Harden, But..... they certainly are better off if they move away from running the ball through Harden at the end of games and embrace a true team concept of basketball.

The thing that struck me about last night's game is how everyone contributed in a meaningful way.

Parsons? probably game MVP. Asik, Beverley, Delfino, Brooks, Garcia... they all helped make this win possible. In fact, one could argue that Harden was the worst Rocket out there last night in terms of game impact.

This is the way the Rockets need to play. TEAM basketball. Not hero iso ball.

They were a full 10 games better this season. Keep trying.
