Also from what I read, you can get fake ones on Ebay for around $120 and they sound exactly the same as the real deal. A testament to how overpriced they really are.
This. Buy them if you want to walk around and be seen in them. Because honestly you're not interested in them solely for their SQ. They're not for DJs either. If you want to get started then find a pair of Grado sr60/80s and use the money you just saved to buy a used headphone amp.
I think they are knockoffs... I wouldn't pay 83 bucks for a knockoff online no matter what. I know that the reviews are decent but I'd at least need to hear them myself
