Agreed but essentially NY and SAC got what they were looking for, so it worked out in our favor heavily but its not like their GM's just rolled over.

Everyone got what they wanted here. If anything, this makes teams more likely to deal with Morey as there is no "Morey screwed them" stories in the media.
Why should you be worried? You don't seem to grasp the sheer genious that Morey is. What you fail to realize is that when Morey deals with you he makes you believe you're getting over on him!! He's like a Jedi car salesman who makes you believe you got the best deal but really he's got you and you don't even know it.
Am I the only who feels Morey, ironically, has NEVER ripped off another team? San Antonio was desperate for shedding salary and they valued little of Scola, Morey gave them what they want. Sacramento needed to dump two unhappy sort-of-stars and Morey gave them young players for them. NY wanted capspace and NO OTHER TEAM were willing to give it to them... until Morey rides in to save the day. Orlando wanted a veteran PG, Memphis wanted to clear up their PG logjam, and the Rockets gave them both what they want. Morey doesn't screw others over. HE HELPS THEM GET WHAT THEY WANT. Morey is a saint.
I will say this about Daryl, If he would negotiate on a political world stage Iran would have disarmed already by us giving them "Indoor plumbing". We would have gotten Osama and all his men for the recipe for "KFC".
We got so much work to do, but I'm sure glad we have Morey on our side. Look at where he's at and what he's done... It looks s***y right now, but we're getting there slowly. I hope there's more splashes to come.
Nothing for them to be scared of. There was no real trickery involved. Morey knew that the Knicks needed that contract to get where they wanted to be, and he used that knowledge to ge the Rockets what they needed. No one got screwed here. Morey was just able to capitalize and get the most out of the situation for his team. e's not a two-face, just a master at playing the game. And I have to say, I think Walsh has done an admirable job cleaning up Isiah's mess. Everybody's a winner here.
We all know these are hard economic times. Some folks need to take on an extra job or two to make ends meet. Hopefully, if Morey needs an extra job he can get work with the Texans and Astors.
ALL HAIL GLORIOUS BENEFACTOR MEIN FUHRER MOREY WHO WITH SUCH CUNNING DID MERCILESSLY PILLAGE THE FOUL CITY OF WALSHCOLONSHIRE AND ALL INHABITANTS UNTIL THEY WERE ALL VANQUISHED BY HIS HAND MOST MIGHTIEST.
With out fail every trade deadline DM comes thru.... He is clutch....best GM in Houston and best GM in the NBA!
Maybe you shouldn't "see red" because it wasn't Morey. Here's a nice article for you. Allow me to quote the pertinent part: You can keep theorizing Morey had something to do with it (he was 2 months into his assistant GM tenure), but if you're trying to place blame on him for it, you are being silly. Also, we didn't trade Rudy Gay, we traded the #8 pick; we drafted Gay at Memphis' request and there's no guarantee we would've drafted him anyway. Memphis just happened to strike gold.
