Dear God this phone is so fast compared to my slow mo 3g. I am in love again.

 

Anyone having issues with the App Store? It keeps telling me it can't connect to itunes store when I'm on 3G..

 

Did you get to keep your info/files that were there? How and when did you get the renewal code? I use the service a lot but it's a hefty price at $100.

 

Even if you let your service lapse, your files hang around and are there when you renew. I don't know how long a timeframe they keep everything, but they are out there for a while at least.

 

Yes, I got sent a brand new mobileme box, as if you'd get from the store, that has an activation code in it. You go to me.com, go to your account, then go to renewal... and there's a tab there for "activation codes".

 

so i downgraded my os back to 4.0.1 so i could jail break it again


but i have the newest itunes version (9.2?) and i think i have issues trying to sync the phone I have installous set to not sync with itunes but it tries to wipe every app on the phone whenever i sync it...if i choose do not sync apps it erases every app on there too


i just want to know if i should do anything else to it i would want to sync occasionaly to my PC to update my music on it

Do you have access to an OSX machine to test syncing?

 

Expose-like multitasking on iPhone and iPad. Pretty sweet.

Has anyone updated their 3G to 4.1 yet? Wanting to know if the 3g improvements are real.

the HDR is cool but I downloaded a HDR app that does a pretty good job

gonna wait on the new update till i can jailbreak though the other additions sound good but arent necessary for me right now.

 

I just did it. What are the improvements supposed to be? Mine is locked up and hanging right now trying to delete an email.

 

General speed enhancements I believe. Especially in the Messaging, Maps, and Camera apps.

So Google Voice finally got approved for the iPhone.

I'm out of contract with ATT, so I'm tempted to drop them altogether and just use Google to make calls and send texts.

It would suck not having data on my phone, but I can always try to be near wifi... would be saving 100 bucks a month!

 

I am also out of contract with ATT. So is Google voice going to be available soon? How long till we can download that

 

But wouldn't you need to be around wifi at all times to be able to use your google voice service to send and receive calls?
