You can stay on that plan, the way I understand. My friend has his data planned grandfathered in and has unlimited LTE. But I do think they throttle you when you exceed a certain amount of Gigs. Btw, I'm looking forward to the ios7 announcement date the most.

I really like the look of iOS 7. I've been waiting to upgrade from an iPhone 4 and I think this is the push that'll make me do it. While I like the look of the gold 5S, the classic black looks really sleek. I do have a grandfathered unlimited data plan on Verizon, so I hope they'll let me keep that with an upgrade. If not, I'll tell them I'm leaving for Sprint.
Verizon will make you switch to a tiered data plan. AT&T is the only carrier that will give you an upgrade subsidy and allow you to maintain unlimited data.
