Cool, didn't think this was live yet because of the demand. Thanks! Near Med Center but anywhere is accessible to me.
I'm not sure how accurate it is or how long inventory lasts, but when I do it in Austin, a couple of stores do show random configurations in stock - so it's at least somewhat updating.
Yeah, I found the one I wanted on bestbuy.com for the Best Buy store on I-10 Bunker hill last night. Walked in and had no problems.
Used all the tricks here and the battery life still sucks now. Here it is 2:30pm - charged all night, shut down all apps after using and the battery life is at 35%. While that's markedly better than prior to the modifications - it is horrendous for a brand new phone.
I think the best thing to do is to go to the Apple store and make an appt with a genius and see if they can swap out a new phone for you.
There's a definite battery hit, but that sounds abnormal. You might have done app pulling data or the battery monitor needs to be recalibrated (drain completely then recharge fully). Or like someone mentioned take it in so they can test.
Are you in a non LTE area most of the day? If so, turn off LTE and that should save you a lot of battery life. This prevents your phone for constantly looking for LTE.
If you don't see LTE on the status bar area.. Especially inside buildings. Who is your carrier? Check coverage maps.
i have my wifi all the time..even when i am away from home. i haven't seen any significant drain worth the hassle of toggling the setting constantly.
Yeah, theroretically it should save battery life but I don't believe it is huge. On the inverse, if you have access to Wifi you should always connect to it rather than on your cellular data. This will help save battery life.
