So I watched that Fat, Sicked, and nearly Dead documentary last night and it got me pretty interested in this whole thing. I do have to lose some Lb's myself and I am pretty much addicted to meats and potatoes. Anyone tried this? Can you share your experience and if you have any recommendations that would be awesome too.

Here is a link to the Trailer of the documentary:

    I did a 3day vegie juice diet. I lost 5 lbs.

    I only tried these 2.

    1. Carrot, celery and ginger.
    2. green grapes, kael and green apple.

It's better to do it on a weekend and rest if this is your first time.

It's definitely my first time. Everyone seems to put Kiel in their juice. I wonder why.

I would want to know his calorie intake and the carb/protein/fat percentages of his diet.

I can't imagine drinking a ton of fruit juice is good for one's blood sugar levels.

Stop pursuing dietary fads and actually follow a sustainable diet.

    This.

You won't last long on the juicing diet. The only thing I can say is that it might be a good short term detox (1-2 days) to cleanse your body.

This isn't a normal diet, this is really a detox that's going to nourish your body and not starve it. The "diet" is to provide your body with tons of nutrition and water like you'v never had before, while completely eliminating all processed foods from anywhere from 10 days to 2 months.

I do agree its not a good idea to jump on a diet for a month that would have you starve yourself while eating very little non nutritional food, just to stuff your face once its over and roam carelessly with your health and diet. It's proven that you will become even more overweight after these diets.

This juicing diet though, its completely beneficial to your body whether you follow up with a sustainable diet or not.

Try drinking more cups of plain water and eating raw vegetables as a snack.

Completely agree with the statement. The one week, one month stuff is mostly nonsense IMO.

However, drinking smoothies on a regular basis is sustainable.

Yeah, tried it and have been juicing for over a year now and love it. I tried it for other reasons than weight, mostly skin, digestion, and immune issues(getting sick all the time). My advice would be not to jump into it and go full juicing just substitute one meal for juice(preferably breakfast, empty stomach) and eat right portions, otherwise you will crave foods and overeat more than you ate before.

    As a diet, I don't know.

As a way of life, absolutely beneficial. You can juice all kinds of vegetables and roots. The thing to think about is taste. By adding apples and carrots you really sweeten your drink. I often add protein powder for additional sweetness.

Did it once for 3 days.. straight blending all the fiber. Didn't have a juicer. I'd stay very full for 3-4 hrs but drinking it was awful.

It did feel good after though.

this is what i'm doing now instead of juicing. I do this before eating my meal so that I don't overeat. pretty much like smoothie but I put green vegies like spinach. the good thing with spinach is it has no strong flavor.

this is my fave because it tastes good and easy to prepare.

    cup of cold water/ice
    cucumber
    spinach
    honey
