Anyone have examples of a tougher road to the finals?

I get what the OP is trying to say. Some of you haven't lived through or has forgotten about #1 seeds being embarrassed in the 1st round or 2nd, before meeting their intended foe in the WCF or whatever.
We're not the most talented team despite being the one with the most wins in the regular season. For some reason being number 1 in the regular season has given some of us fans undeserving sense of accomplishment and with it bravado that would be embarrassing if the team stops short of the finals or WCF.
It doesn't hurt to be lucky, which in this year's series, I see the warriors getting a huge break. No thunder, no jazz, teams they struggle against. The bulls never faced Hakeem, same as the Rockets didn't play the Sonics that 2 years.
