I am helping to plan a bachelor party in Shreveport and could use some advice. The only casino that I have spent any time at is the Hollywood. It was pretty decent but I was wondering if any of the other casinos (Horseshoe, Isle of Capri etc) are any better.

Most of us will be playing blackjack the whole time would prefer low minimums. Any of them have under $5?

Any advice about which ones to hit and which one is best to stay at?

    Thanks.

I am going to a wedding in Shreveport/Stonewall next month. Never been there before. I've only been to Baton Rouge and Nawlins.

Inspired by the architecture of both Southwest Louisiana and the Texas Hill country, L’auberge will be a luxurious 26 story casino resort will feature a large, single-level casino,746 rooms and suites, 60 table games and over 1,600 slot machines, several high quality restaurants, extensive meeting and entertainment space, a lavish pool area, a luxurious spa, and a championship golf course designed by world-renowned golf architect Tom Fazio.

"It will be very different from what visitors to Southwest Louisiana have experienced in the past."

Hollywood's the nicest one I've been to there.

When you're there, you must eat at Superior Mexican food. A couple of margaritas and a plate of fajita quesadillas will do you right.

The best one there, IMO, is the Horseshoe. The minimums were $10, but it was a busy night. If your there early in the week, you might catch a $5 table. I think roulette was the only $5 table the 2 nights I was there which was a Wednesday and Thursday. There was a big convention going on though.

My favorite was Hollywood as well. We went about two years ago and stayed in Bossier City (Le Bossier). Horshoe was my 2nd favorite, but by far Hollywood was the best, IMO.

Thanks for the tip on Superior. I have been the the one here in Baton Rouge but had no idea there was one in Shreveport. I really love their Mesquite Fijita meat and like you said they make some tasty margaritas.
