People didn't like his offense. So what? Overall very few people would say that he was anything other than a really good coach. He had a far less talented cast then McHale was working with. His two stars were rarely healthy enough to be on the court at the same time, and we had virtually no depth. The game has changed so much; you don't think that JVG would want to do things differently offensively? He's said as much publicly.

People want a Houston team that plays defense; that's hard nosed and tough like Beverly; that's disciplined and plays hard every night. JVG folks.

We're not gonna out offense a team like Golden State, we have to outwork them and punch them in the mouth.

The offense is actually an easier thing to sort out. Most would say our offense under McHale his first few years was pretty good; I don't remember anyone mistaking him for Adelman.

 

Clutch is buying the team from that faker Le$.

I don't think Clutch is a diehard Lakers fan.

 

I'm starting to feel more and more like this will happen. I just think the Rockets know he's not great on offense but they have faith in Chris Finch to design an offense.

Sucks balls, but there are worse things than the old/existing offense combined with JVG's defense IF they can figure out a way for the JVG defense not to murder the pace.
