OKC upsetting anyone is a myth. They are talented but they are too hurt and may not even make 8th seed. If they can't even win out the 8th seed in clear and convincing fashion, their rep is based on smoke and mirrors.

Triple double and scoring leader Westbrook should scare no one. Especially without Ibaka and a hobbled Durant. The loss of Perk the Jerk and Reggie will come back to bite them. Kanter has upped his game but he and Westbrook are not enough to upset either of the top 2 seeds.

Any time you have two legit MVP caliber players you have a chance to beat anyone.

Tell that to the Harden and Dwight haters.

Dwight hasn't been MVP caliber in a couple of years.

Only due to injury. Same deal with Durant right now. Let's see how his flat tire looks come playoffs.

And Westbrook is a pseudo MVP candidate, his team may not even get to the post season. Unlike Harden, his numbers have not positively impacted the W-L column.

OKC doesn't have two legit MVP caliber players. They have an actual MVP. That's a different thing.

    http://cdn16.castfire.com/audio/303...p://grantland.com/podcasts/bs-report/&s=vqhen

Very beginning of today's BS report with Russillo as the guest they talked about the West playoffs and Russillo brought up how he can already see the story lines that are incoming when some of the really, really good teams lose in the first round when in reality this conference is just special and some really good teams have to lose.

If LAC loses they will say there really is something wrong with CP3.

If Golden State loses they will say you can't win playing like they do.

If Memphis loses they will say you can't win with as little as they score.

If Houston loses they will say you can't win shooting 3s like that and that Moreyball is only good for the regular season.

Have to agree with him. Some people will refuse to see that top to bottom anyone is at risk to lose and it doesn't mean these teams are doing something wrong.

The easiest team to stop is Houston in playoff. Other teams they have option 1,2 and maybe 3 , along with plan A & B.

We have option 1, Maybe a 2 and one trick plan A.

I feel like we're only going to two-peat.

As a franchise, we've already accomplished that.

Anything less than a three-peat is beyond pathetic.

Anyone else feel were destined for this?

We are truly an interesting situation. When you look at our bench we are one of the deepest playoff teams there is, but at the same time those guys that make up how deep we are cannot do anything without Harden's help it seems.

I hate spur fans(live in Austin and most friends are spur fans) but I have to respect them

You make fun of a spurs fan on how they feels about 6th seed and your response will be "you think we give a **** about 6th seed, why don't you go ask Timmy or pop how they feel about those 5 rings"

We need more of "we about to run this ****" compared to the " we are gonna lose first round"

We were one of the deepest teams. Bev and DMo injuries ruined that quickly.

You are right that it begins and ends with Harden, though. Rockets don't have a prayer if he can't perform in the playoffs. Even less so than last year.

Only so much can be put on one man though. If they are going to collapse then Harden's only option is passing out to a shooter or making a tough shot in a tree of arms.

Recently he's been passing it out these past two games but the Spurs rotate so well, guys have been hesitant to shoot threes. They have to start letting it fly.

Man we really miss Dmo, he was the only other guy you could give the ball to and watch him go to work. It wasn't always consistent but it was there.

What these 2 games have shown is:
+ Ariza is ready and battle tested
    + Howard will play well
+ Dorsey will get minutes due to pure hustle

-/+ Brewer is way too wild at times and is going be a wild card, that could be positive or negative
-/+ TJ is going to be not too bad, not too good. Maybe 14ppg, 7rbpg & 1.5bl with a - due to his defense being not up to where it needs to be

    - Prigioni and Nick the big dick are not going to be of much help
    - Terry will not do much for us, except for a few minutes where he still looks 27 and then goes back to looking 37
    - Harden is a p***y and will choke
    - Josh Smith will be a big freaking liability
    - McHale will make zero adjustments and we lose in 5/6
