I have nothing to compare this racing game too, but I find the game fantastically realistic. Seems like the best game I've played in a long time. You get to drive cars from VW Bug to Ferrari models still under patent. However, I'm stuck. I can seem to get very many gold medals in the kudos level. I get the medals racing all six cars, but all the other kudos events I can't even get close to the points required to move up and get the gold. Anyone got a hint? Without the gold, I'm stuck with the crappy cars like the TT roadster. I seem to have hit a wall.

My son's been playing (he's 20). He seems to have gotten a lot of gold medals and different cars. I just watch. I can kick his A$$ in Breakout, Dig Dug or PacMan, however.

I did score a TD against him while I was playing as the Houston Texans in Madden 2002. There were no names associated with the Texans, but #85 is going to be a good player. He was the receiver associated with my "A" button, so he caught all of my passes.

You've got to combine your styles.
The only way to get major Kudos is to try to get many
Kudos moves in succession to one another. For example, in
Arcade mode you can see how this is done as you progress
through cones, eventually gettting to a turn, and, if your
fast enough, you can get to another turn before your prior
Kudos is banked and get another slide in. I've done this
a few times and found that I was able to pull of a 900+
Kudos combo that banked in at 1400+ because of the amount of
    moves I got in.
You also have to practice sliding. This all depends
on the car you use. I would recommend just getting
comfortable with a car you enjoy driving and learning how
to maximize your slides with it. Arcade mode is a good
place to practice your sliding without any competition.
Hopefully this will translate into major Kudos into the
Quick Race and Kudos challenge modes.
Last thing to try is raising the difficulty of races
to bank more Kudos. I've always done those races at their
minimum level to see what my ability is and then I raise
the difficulty to match or exceed what I did previously.
For example, in the lap time races I've always seen how
much I can take off the initial time to beat. So if I did
29 secs on a 33 second track than I raise difficulty to 29
    to maximize my Kudos.
Anyhow, just a few things to try. Just take your
time to learn the tracks and your car and you'll be
banking Kudos in no time. Good luck.

Thanks. I haven't worked on my slides at all. I think that's what I'm gonna need. My best slides are only netting 25 kudo points and I only get one or two those per race. It seemed impossible to rack up like a 1000 kudos on my own, but now that I know you have done it I'm gonna keep trying. Thanks :)

Also, I've got some jokers, but have no idea how I got them....I'm afraid to use them because the book said you can only use them once.
