Dwight Howard Comeback.

To my knowledge Dwight comeback has two possible scenarios:

Dwight looking at 17th vs Magic, then 19th vs Nuggets & 21st vs Suns...all home games & against weaker competition.

Then there will be Possible rest & 'reevaluation' against Pacers 23th & Pelican 25th (both away games)

And then a re-return vs Timberwolves on 26th

That's best case scenario, & what Dwight wants / is leaning towards...but my info is that team Doctors (& Front Office) want him to just wait for the Wolves game on the 27th.

Dwight wants to test knee as soon as possible, get in game shape & give James some help...but everything Rockets are doing is geared towards being ready for playoffs & pursuit of Ring.

Beard is understandably a little miffed as he wants Dwight back ASAP to help carry the load (as well as grab some boards) & ensure Home Court.

Dwight also wants back to help The Bearded one win MVP, get home court & the Ring.

Also:
Contrary to popular belief, Dwight couldn't care less about the haters and Laker fans who continuously call him soft etc.

Lakers ship was sinking, Franchise ownership wasn't on the same page with him or each other & Houston is where he wanted to be.
He just wants to win Rings & believes that he and Harden will bring multiple rings to Houston.

Side note...
If we lose another game (or two) I can see the early comeback scenario activated to preserve home court.

Yes, previous post had Aussie dates...a little tired at moment. Looking after baby number 5!

 

Even if the Rockets lose at the Clippers, it's not panic time(unless they're blown out from the opening tip). This is a tough road trip. Even the Nuggets game was no gimme(just ask the Hawks). So I wouldn't rush Dwight back just yet. I think they can handle a 3-game homestand against the Magic, Nuggets, and Suns. Especially since there are no B2Bs.

If anything, I'd rather have Dwight available for those road games at Indiana and New Orleans. Not the other way around.

 

Gotta love Dwight! If he comes back close to where he's been this season when he's played free and easy, confident and relatively pain free, and James gets over whatever the heck is affecting him, with Smith doing the same, in his case hopefully taking a page from Brew's cookbook, I like our chances in the post-season. Hoping for Bev to wake up and realize his role as a point guard, or Donuts eating rebounds instead of, well, donuts, would be too much to hope for. I don't want to seem absurdly optimistic. That's a lot of if's already.
