Well that last sentence says it all. Seems like we might get him just in time for the playoffs.

6 weeks until playoffs...probably needs 2-3 more weeks on the treadmill, and 2-3 weeks on the court + practice. It's going to be close.

I also think he should have an even 3/3 split with treadmill and then court and practice time. If not, I would then prefer 4 weeks on treadmill, then 2 weeks court and practice time (so he would be somewhat integrated before playoffs start).

I disagree. I want him to post up but i want him to pass it out more and be quicker at it. He's a horse with blinders on when he posts up and that kills our rhythm. Take it in strong and quick and if you can't just pass it.

I think the stats disagree with you ....

37% of his post touches end in a turnover.

He shoots only 38% on shots not generated by the pick & roll and non-dunks.

He shoots ~50% from the charity stripe ... posting up & getting fouled is a 50-50 proposition.

He finishes the pick & roll at an 78% success rate.

Other than getting opponents in foul trouble or matchups where he has a clear advantage , I wouldn't have him post up.

I was under the impression he was still around 70% body weight on the treadmill, but Morey said he should be starting basketball activities in a few days, so he's probably closer to 100%.

If that's true, then he should be back at least a week before the play offs, assuming there are no setbacks.

    Hope he gets back soon.

We will go through an adjustment period to get used to him being back in the lineup.

If he comes back right before the playoffs, we will be out of whack.

    Uh-Oh, Dwight has Dmo's explosion.... /CF over-reaction

He still got some stuff on his leg it seems. But seriously, other teams are probably pissing themselves if he is "three weeks away" and doing this.

I'm so glad with the approach they've taken. Extremely cautious and well-timed. If he gets 8-10 games in with the team before the playoffs and his knee is feeling good, we could be a much better team than our seeding.

The top 8 teams are so damn close this year, and no one is going to add someone better than DWIGHT HOWARD weeks before the playoffs.
