Any chance this team tie/pass the franchise record 58 wins?

I can think of one forum poster here who does NOT want that to happen.

 

I dont believe so at the moment they have way too many road games left against some formidable teams - I believe that they may hit around the 54-55 mark.

considering all that has happened this year - this is a remarkable achievement for the team in terms of regular season.

Had the injuries and the Asik situation not occured - they could have broken the record and possibly even 60 wins

 

I think they can do it, I'm only seeing 4 more losses this season.

1. One of the 2 OKC games

2. The Heat game

3. The Spurs game (if they play their starters)

4. One other random game maybe Toronto or Denver (in Denver)

 

The Asik situation WAS injuries

I'm really pulling for 60, we've never had a 60 win season!!

 

I think we're going at least 15-4 down the stretch. The Rockets are starting to play like Champions..The Beard is already a superstar...and getting better.....

If they beat OKC and Miami I think it's very possible.

After those 2 games they would only need to go 12-5 with the toughest part of the schedule behind them.

If they lose those games or split, it's considerably harder just because you're going to lose to some dog teams no matter how good the team.

I think maybe 5-6 losses out of the last 19. putting them at 14-5 or 13-6. so 57-58 wins.

 

going 11-8 for the remaining 19 games is unacceptable and would be a huge reversal to how they have been playing.

 

I was thinking the same thing.. 15-4 sounds pretty reasonable. And holy moly, Harden has taken his game to a whole new level after the All-Star break. He's not going one on one as much, he's moving the ball quicker, he's playing faster, he's trusting his teammates more, and he's playing MUCH better defense than he was!

Not sure if his toe/foot injury had anything to do with his earlier play, but the confidence level on this team is ridiculous right now. If they can get 2 out of their next 3, i think the national media just may start taking this team a bit more seriously.

 

The Rockets are now 44-19 (.698). The last time a Rockets team had a winning % that high in a 2nd half of a season was the end of the 1994 season. Triple Clutch.

I agree with the another level comment on harden. this upcoming road trip is huge. Chicago has been playing well. that game will be tough as well as the other obvious two.

 

As long as they don't lose all 3 games during Hell Week, they could pull it off. The remaining schedule after Miami ain't that bad.

 

Alot of @ on that schedule, its not going to be easy
