I wanted Anthony Mason to be a Houston Rocket when he was playing for the Charlotte Hornets. I shall miss him very much. Prayers for his soul, and his family.

This guy was a beast. There were no easy layups on that team with him, Oak, and Ewing down low. I miss the toughness that Mase epitomized. I know people like the beauty of the passing and flow offenses of today's NBA, but I really miss the hard nosed basketball of that time. There was more of a premium on grit back then.

Mason was the original "Dump Truck" before Shaq or anyone else. RIP and I can sympathize with you brotha, as I am headed in the same route with my own related health problem.

I got my hair cut correct like Anthony Mason
Then I ride the IRT right up to Penn Station (yeah)
Penn Station, up on 8th Ave
Listen all y'all, you get the ball back
He's got the Savior Faire because he's debonair
Well, Mike D with the vinyl, with the grooves so rare
And the rhymes that we're kickin' are doo-doo
