Gotta say I'm anxious to see Disney's online (non-ESPN) offering. Wish it would arrive sooner than 2019.
He's a talented guy. This could be interesting. I'm one of those who would like to see some films made in the days of the Old Republic. Maybe have the action take place in one of the most remote corners of the galaxy, but nowhere near what we're used to. You could have the clever and ruthless smuggler with the well hidden heart of gold, who has heard rumors of a Jedi cult kept hidden for centuries, a group viewing with disdain the very idea of mingling with the masses while pursuing their bizarre experiments, along with pirates and other assorted bad guys, with a young good looking female captain of one the small Republican patrol craft, always badly in need of repair, that attempt to keep some sort of order out of the chaos. Something like that. I wouldn't have a problem with an R rated series, R more for adult situations, rather than for violence. It would be a nice change.
Watched the series finale of Star Wars Rebels yesterday and I must say that I enjoyed that series much more than TFA or TLJ. I'm sorry it's gone and I hope they come up with something in that time period (between III and IV) to fill that huge void when the Empire was at it's strongest. Empire >>> First Order Palpatine >>> Snoke Thrawn >>> Hux
What makes Favreau good at directing or acting? Feel like he's just there in all of his roles and his directing filmography is nothing special and has some clunkers.
Currently reading all of the Legend novels and man there's so much untapped potential. Doing a Darth Bane movie or the Old Republic era would be amazing, the post Episode 6 stuff is also way better. They also really ****ed the Prequel movies up by not introducing stuff properly, for example the events leading up to Episode I that you read about in the Darth Plagueis novel. Would've made Episode I much better if people actually understood the political workings and how Palpatine gained influence.
