It is such intellectually dishonest bullshit to compare something like BLM - where people are just begging to let their lives mean as much as any other human being - to the KKK and white supremacy, but it's not surprising that the people who find themselves too close to this neo nazi waste Trump has empowered would do so so it's easier for them to to try and pretend they have no responsibility for it.

Man, the fact that Trump was so soft in his response to this really tells you where he thinks the heart of his support is.

    Not surprising
So if you believe that Obama can empowered police violence, then you also believe Trump can empower white nationalists?

This is what people say when they realize that they are trying to defend the indefensible. Though in doing so, they also they enable the offense, in this case the loss of life, and the outrage resulting from his unwillingness to specifically criticize neo Nazis and white nationalists.

Tell that to the families of the killed NYPD officers Liu and Ramos. You could make an easy case that BLM and the hatred/violence they helped stir up over the past few years resulted in far more deaths and injured than the KKK.

This would make appropriate discussion in a thread about BLM and/or the killing of police officers. But this is a discussion of deaths (including the deaths of police officers) that happened at a neo nazi/white nationalists protest in VA and American outrage at the offensively weak response by the president.

By choosing to ignore the focus of the discussion you appear to support their actions, much like Trump, whose unwillingness to call out the neo nazis/white nationalists who caused the deaths (and many more injuries). So continue to try to defend the indefensible, I think the reasons why are very clear.

And just in case people were wondering what president Trump is doing to help lessen the horror of the past two days, he is playing golf, his 53rd day at a golf course as president. This Vanity Faiir/NBC News reporter:

While most Americans were offended by Trump's response, there were some that applauded the Trump. See if any of these comments were mirrored by posters here...

Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists applaud Donald Trump's response to deadly violence in Virginia

The white nationalists were there to protest statue removal

That has nothing to do with Trump

They have a right to protest. Who gives a crap, the statues will get removed

What that kid did is a separate issue

But all I'm referring to is the Trump has brought out the hate comments

People are ignorant to what actually happened in just another attempt to blame Trump for something

They also would less likely vote for the old GOP.

These people need Trump support to continue being what they are and doing it openly. They are his most loyal supporters. They probably would die for him. Likewise, Trump need them as much as they need him. He love their loyalty and will not cut off what is so dear to him.

On a practical side, he can always rely on this group under any circumstances. If he's to be impeached, he can call upon them. If he's to lose an election, he can call upon them. If he continue to support this group and allow it to grow and blossom, he will have that much more power. He know that and will protect them.

Him initially saying all hatred - cool, at least it's a good start. Then later, right after knowing about the saying many sides when it was one side that killed. And they loved that clarification. Their own reaction and future plans demonstrate that. trump is effectively one of them. All this time, I thought it was just Bannon. WRONG!

20 years old. That mind age is still so easily manipulated to hold extreme views. Why what leaders said and do are important. Why anti-violent extremist programs (which this Admin cut off specifically for white nationalist supremacists ) are important.

    http://www.toledoblade.com/Nation/2017/08/12/Hundreds-face-off-ahead-of-white-nationalist-rally.html

Samantha Bloom, Mr. Fields’ mother, told a Blade reporter her son texted her Friday to say he had dropped his cat off at her Monclova Township apartment so he could go to an “alt-right” rally in Virginia.

“I told him to be careful,” Ms. Bloom said. “[And] if they’re going to rally to make sure he’s doing it peacefully.”

It didn’t appear that happened, she said tearfully.

She had returned from dinner Saturday evening unaware that her son was involved and had not yet been contacted by authorities.

He had told her about the rally last week, but didn’t offer details about its extremist nature.

“I thought it had something to do with Trump,” she said.

“I try to stay out of his political views,” she said. “I don’t get too involved.”

She said he had moved out of her apartment “five or six months ago” to his own Maumee apartment, but she declined to give the address. Ms. Bloom said they moved to northwest Ohio from Florence, Kentucky, about a year ago for her job.

It's clear all the left wants to do is to fit anything that anybody says to their own narrative - that the right is a bunch of racists and KKK lovers. That is false. I've even flat out rejected their agenda and their actions, yet the lefties like FranchiseBlade and NewRoxFan keep posting that I'm supportive of their actions. Le sigh.

I'm out of this thread - it's just the liberals seeking to further their own narrative, no matter what anybody says. Ciao, baby!

Don't blame the speech writer. It was Trump. If you watch him talk during that speech, you see that he didn't follow it precisely around the time he used that phrase "many sides". Maybe it's just me seeing things, but he clearly decided to change it. Truly reflect who he is.

And also, concerning Bannon. He still exists even though he leak is for similar reason. He isn't willing to lose support from the extremist.
