Who really knows. You can't tell some teens anything, no matter the parenting.

What I mean by saying "that's just asking for it" is saying that it wasn't a smart decision by the teacher. I'm not saying the kids was justified by any means, nor saying the teacher deserved what happened.

Here's a better analogy for what I meant.

"I was just asking for it" If I wore a bunch of big flashy jewelry and decided to go walk around a bad part of town and get mugged. Did it mean that I deserved to get mugged? No. Did it mean the mugger's mugging was justifiable? No. But I was indeed just asking for it by making that poor decision.

I get what you're saying...don't think I can agree with it. Teacher's have to be able to enforce school rules without fear of putting themselves in danger. Students have to find other means to release their frustration when getting punished other than slamming their teacher. This kid is an outlier...his reaction was not the norm...and so I don't think it's fair to say the teacher was asking for it.

Pop quiz: the following 1989 biographical film told the story of "Crazy Joe" Clark and East Side H.S. located in what city?

Bonus: who can guess what came of the child actor portrayed in this scene?
