    Wow. RIP, Andy.

I’m a huge Smiths fan. Morrissey and Marr get a lot of the credit, but that rhythm section was a thing of beauty.

Never was a big Smiths fan as I never liked Morrissey’s voice but they were a talented and tight band. RIP..

RIP. his basslines were a huge part of the smiths sound. he was funky and creative.

when the smiths broke up morrissey begged him and the drummer to join his solo band...they refused.

crazy that he was only 59! they were barely out of their teens when that first record came out.

hopefully this puts an end to the endless, decades-long calls for a reunion.

Sadly, as we get older, this happens much more frequently. Time is undefeated. RIP. Thoughts to family and friends. Hopefully his cancer wasn't too painful.

I loved The Smiths. I like Morrissey. But Moz was an absolute d!ck in his attitude towards Rourke and Joyce. He didn't feel they contributed anything to the band and didn't deserve any of the spoils. As fantastic as he (Morrissey) was/is, he is ridiculously insufferable.
