1. Dante Exum 2. Julius Randle 3. Andrew Wiggins 4. Jabari Parker Everyone else after that... This are the top 4 superstar Talents and then everyone else... As of today I put it in these order. But it can change from week to week.
So much for once in a generation...he might not even be drafted top 3. Parker and Smart along with other frosh (like the one at Arizona) look better.
Wiggins was never touted for the player he is today. He is touted for the player he could become. I figured that was obvious...
That is A. Gordon playing for Arizona, another player playing like he will be another Blake Griffin. Wiggins looks raw and light frame. His athleticism should get him somewhere in NBA. But to be a great star, you normally can see their great offensive skills and rounded skill set even in college. They already have some go to shots and may be unstoppable one on one. Durant, Melo and Lebron, the Dream etc. all looked like they were playing against boys in college. Parker is already showing the same offensive prowess like some of those stars. Wiggins' shot mechanism as well as handle have a lot to improve, and he lacks the fire power of Parker. Sure potential is a big thing for the super athletic guys in NBA, but many of these super athletic guys turn out busts. Where is Thomas Robinson now, at #5 2 years ago on 240 lb and 6'10 frame? What is MKG at #2 doing at charlotte, inconsistent and mediocre most of the time. These are super athletic guys but their development will be painfully long. You don't have to wait long for KD, Melo & Lebron, MJ even the Dream, Bird, K. Love etc. They might not be super athletic but they got game even in college to show that they are the real deal in the next level. I really think Parker will join their rank soon.
You're not called Once in a Generation and the best HS player since Lebron because of what you could become, it's obvious he was expected to do more than what he is doing.
I know, when I was watching Lebron at Duke or was it KU/UK you could tell how great he would be. I get your point though. Just seems several other players have looked a lot better than him so far. Damn I want the Rockets to somehow get a lottery pick this year (via trade obviously).
lol wut.. Lebron never played college basketball and of course he looked like a man in high school basketball.
The latest reports that scouts are switching to Jabari Parker to be # 1 now. It is rightly so. I think Parker is a much safer pick to be #1. You don't have to wait for him to be a star in the NBA. He probably will be one within 1 to 2 years. Wiggins will need to upgrade his game to show he is worth all the hype. Super athletic guys but not outstanding in college can be quite risky picks, especially at #1. Just look at Gerald Green, MKG (#2), Thomas Robinson (#5), Darius Miles, even Mcgee. Good role player but not stars. Even the last #1 Bennett is nowhere to be found in the starting rotation of even Cleveland. You really need to be very special in college to make it to be a star in nba. Otherwise, development can be long for some draftees and you don't want a #1 to be in such class like Bennett does.
Not at all. And Gerald Green never played basketball at the collegiate level, so he's hardly an appropriate basis for comparison when discussing a player like Andrew Wiggins. Green was considered a high-risk player before he was drafted- partly because of an injury that left him without the distal portion of his ring finger, and partly because he exhibited a lack of court awareness at the defensive end that remains an issue today- resulting in his dropping to the Boston Celtics instead of being taken in the lottery. --Captain Decker
