Keep cashing them checks. NFL players should show zero Loyalty. Its all about the Team until its time to be taken care then they will throw you on your ass. In Baseball and Basketball you get guaranteed contracts plus the team usually takes care of you at the end. Whenever a coach says that Team BS players should go punch them.
Still like Dre, but he's trying my nerves. People claimed he went to IND to win, so what's the excuse for going to TEN? Sounds like he's more worried about sticking it to the Texans, than "winning". Too bad he's sticking the fans too. Cutting players that aren't cutting it is best for the "team"
He's only sticking it to the Texans if he produces on the field. This Dre is just cashing checks. Like others have said, he is a bust. As in, he will have a bust in the HOF when it's all said and done. Wearing a Texans jersey. Andre. Foster. Watt. That's the extent of the Texans ring of honor right now if they want to start one. Second tier guys like Duane Brown, Cushing, and Demeco Ryans if they want to extend it. I put Ryans in before Cushing. We should never have traded him. Hopkins waiting in the wings.
Were those 2 TDs on TNF a "sticking"? Dre doesn't have much game left, but it's clear he's being vindictive.
I do agree, at his current level, if he wants to keep cashing those checks he'll need to start looking at the worst teams in the league, the Titans are a good place to start.
What exactly was childish? I don't like my squads' rivals. I don't like my squads' (franchise) players going to rivals. You probably cheer for the Spurs.
He's not a franchise player in this league anymore, probably not even your 3rd guy in an elite receiving core. If you simply choose to be ignorant over how bad NFL players have it in comparison to players of other leagues (forcing them to focus on cash before anything else), and just how much these guys sacrifice from a physical and psychological standpoint, then that's on you. But don't try to mask it as Andre being vindictive when he spent the prime of his career on a subpar franchise that surrounded him with the likes of David Carr, Matt Schaub, Fitzpatrick, and reviewers like Jacoby Jones and Kevin Walters. Lol.
At this point, Andre Johnson can go and play for whoever he wants. Just as long as it's not the Houston Texans. I do however look forward to the day that he comes home to be recognized and honored as one of the two greatest players in Houston Texans' history.
it's sad and pathetic, like an old worn down boxer who can't quit. have some dignity man. now if he hasn't saved or invested enough money from the almost 100 million (according to sportrac) he has made then shame on him.
