2-14 was a team that should not have been 2-14 but closer to 10-6
Going into that season they have every reason to beleive that

Last Season going in - he had no QB - He still did not get the ball much
He was basically shown he was NOT part of the Future
They brought him back so THEY would not look like the bad guy
    and it worked

Dude just needs to shut up and ball like he did for most of the 12 years he was here. No one wants to hear his hot takes.

That was the year Schaub completely fell apart.the defense wasn't very food either.

    Andre has over 1,400 yards

Except that he made very clear last year that it wasn't about pay. He could have made more money staying here, but he backed up his words by taking less money elsewhere to be more involved. You not believing him was just you being wrong again and had nothing to do with him.

No one makes you read his comments. There seems to be a simpler win-win solution here than him doing what you want.

His payday was about to end.

Gets 3 years and $21 million from Colts.

Sure he SAYS it wasn't about pay, but the ONLY time he said a word about being unhappy was when he held out to get a new contract several years back....and was immediately happy again once the Texans made him the highest paid WR in the league at the time. He wasn't unhappy again until he realized that he wasn't going to get paid the end of that contract. Also, of course he took less to play elsewhere, no one was going to offer a washed up WR who is turning 34 the kind of money Houston was paying him.....that's why he was upset about them moving on.

It NEVER had anything to do with winning while he was being paid top dollar.....in fact if he had been a better WR last year, the Texans are in the playoffs.

Keep fooling yourself thinking that this wasn't about money 100%

Yeah, and he MAYBE makes only half a million less in that deal before the Colts cut him (10 million) than he would have made this season if he was still on the Texans (10.5 million)

Your random use of capitalizing whole words convinced me.

The way some of you are reacting, you would think everyone should only have the most glowing things to say about a former employer. He didn't throw fans under the bus or blame anyone in particular.

I think Andre was mad about both the pay and level of talent around him. If you give that many years to an organization and only have money to show it, you would be mad too if the money was about to go away. His being disgruntled might have been triggered by money but comes from a place where the organization just could never put it all together and be an every year type of contender.

He might have more to show for it if he had played better last season....

It happens all the time. Not the most pleasant thing, but eventually his jersey will be retired here.

It wasn't good because the offense put it in bad positions and too much time on the field

What I don't understand is AJ keeping his mouth shut for his entire Texans career and then throwing all that away when he leaves. He's basically throwing away all the "choir boy" value he generated keeping his muth shut all those years.

It's probably very emotionally satisfying but it isn't smart for his post football "brand value" in Houston, after all those years keeping his mouth shut.

No matter how well he plays in Indy, he's always going to be a rental guy, as opposed to a Colt's great, like Hakeem in a Raptors uni.

Reed's opinion of the organization probably did influence Dre.

WOAT free agent signing in franchise history... he was overpaid, he sucked, and we lost Quinn

Lol I like reading these type of posts while imagining how all that emphasis must sound to them in their heads as they're typing it.

As betrayed as fans feel, how do you think Schaub feels? Best qb he has ever played with? I have never been a Schaub advocate but damn Dre how about playing one game before throwing Matt to the wolves!

He already played for Indy during his non-contact fumble on TNF last season.

Texans players have a knack for "assisting" their future employer (in blooper-type fashion) at big moments. See Jacoby

The stage is already set for more embarrassment. Jones won the Super Bowl immediately afterwards. And the Colts will be a Top 2 AFC favorite this season. Texans have a real chance to stop the avalanche if they're healthy. QB will be average, but the D will beast.

Colts and Andrew Luck are overrated.

He should of gone to the Seahawks or Patriots.

Won't matter in Houston, he'll be back in Miami. Not like he had a bunch of endorsements in Texas anyway.
