    LeBron is GM over there.
If he didn't like Dwight, he's not going to want Josh Smith.

Nah. Cavs need a C, not a PF. He's not going to Cleveland.

They have a Player Exception of $5.2M and will be able to apply for Disabled Player Exception of $5m(50% of varejao salary).

    They cannot combine them.

What does it got to do with varejao?

+ They are 12-3 in their last 15 games, so they did started to win!

they are a new team, give them time.

Now the Cavs don't have a viable Center. Not good... definitely not good considering that the Cavs have been defensively challenged most of the season.

They're now basically Miami lite... except without the scrambling defensive players that Miami had in their peak years.

Looks like Lebron is getting held back another year.

Maybe it's all for the best. With Varajao out that takes a lot of pressure off the Cavs to "win it all". If they sputter in the play offs the criticism won't be nearly as fierce as if they had gotten bounced out of the play offs by Toronto, Chicago, Atlanta or the Wizards with a full roster.

Now they actually have a full year and change to sort things out.

That would be great. Keep him away from Dallas, and let's keep these good times rolling!

Doesn't lebron only have a 1 year contract. Would be comical if he left to go to another team. I can't even think of a likely place. He obviously wants to have a team tailor made to compete instantly.

As if the Cavs weren't porous enough in the paint.

Really sucks. I'm a big Varejao fan, but the guy just can't stay healthy. Not sure what Cleveland was thinking by extending him. The Cavs really don't have a choice now but to make a trade. Dion Waiters really has to be the one out.

Would the Celtics take a gamble on Waiters and give up Bass or Wright? Not sure, but Bass or Wright would be a huge get for the Cavs.

Maybe Waiters to Indiana for Mahinmi.

Not sure there are too many good bigs out there that can be a starter on a championship caliber team. Obviously Tristan Thompson is now really going to need to step up in a big way and Kevin Love is actually going to have to play defense for once in his career.

This didn't affect Josh Smith but it make keep JO from going to the Mavs. He would a great replacement for Varejao but also has shaky health

I would be soooooooo...happy if the Cavs found a way to steal Jermaine O'Neal off the market from the Mavs...lollllllll

O'Neal might be more likely to play with the best player in the game, than going to play in Dallas...
