This guy should take his talent back to the Cavs, if he goes to the Lakers hell get his ass handed to him every year by the warriors and the rockets, stay in the east bron better for you man
There is a geat chance LeBron has a huge deal lined up worth hundreds of millions of dollars with Nike if he goes to a major market city like LA. Shoe companies dictating where mega NBA stars end up is kinda lame. Both Philly, and Hou make so much more sense for LeBron if he wants to contend. No way his family suddenly makes the final decision to end LeBron’s legacy based on how nice the weather is in a city during the off-season when they vaca anyways.
I don't want to give any life to this but it is possible. CP3 has a verbal max. They could always rearrange the deal to get under hard cap but LBJ is going to LA. The key is every deal signed or every trade made has to be approved by the league office and conform to all rules at that time.
These are the dumbest things to be reported. I cannot stand these tweets. I seriously doubt they would cause that much commotion. Ugh I hate free agency rumors.
Sixers have now decided to keep Fultz too. He is off limits. They don't mind providing several picks instead though.
I agree with you, I think shoe companies can help manufacture things... but that isn't the case with LeBron. He transcends his market and already has a lifetime deal in place with Nike.
Randle (the Lakers best player last season) apparently doesn’t want to go back to the Lakers. If the Spurs decide to keep Kawhi until the trade deadline or the remainder of the season, I’m sure Bron would regret not opting in and going to Houston.
The deal was worth up to $1 billion back in 2016 and is based on sales. He has sold all the shoes he is going to sell in Cleveland and cannot beat the Warriors. This and other contract variables make it desirable to join a major market team. Going to a market like LA or NY would boost LeBron’s shoe sales tremendously that he is certain to reach the sales needed to get the $1 billion from Nike. No one knows the exact specifics, but it is possible that in order for him to get the full billion he must hit a certain volume of shoe sales while still in the NBA. Someone savvy like Rich Paul is not going to let that slip by unnoticed. “The payout is largely contingent on sales, meaning there's no way to project what kind of staying power the LeBron brand will have. “
