Clown Show fail? Tens Of Millions Somehow Fail To Turn Out For 'Operation American Spring The idea behind Operation American Spring is simple: the restoration of constitutional government, the rule of law, freedom, and liberty. The plan calls for the removal from office of President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and Attorney General Eric Holder. And that's just to start. The organizers of the operation have picked Friday to kick things off. Phase one of "Operation American Spring – Beginning Of Tyranny Housecleaning" calls for as many as 10 million "patriots" to assemble in a "peaceful, non-violent, physically unarmed (Spiritually/Constitutionally armed), display of unswerving loyalty to the US Constitution and against the incumbent government leadership, in Washington, D.C., with the mission to replace with law abiding leadership," according to the organizers' website. Phase two calls for at least a million of the protestors to remain in Washington until the aforementioned officials are forced from office. Phase three hopes to see a governing tribunal made up of a who's who of conservative icons. "Those with the principles of a West, Cruz, Dr. Ben Carson, Lee, DeMint, Paul, Gov Walker, Sessions, Gowdy, Jordan, should comprise a tribunal and assume positions of authority to convene investigations, recommend appropriate charges against politicians and government employees to the new U.S. Attorney General appointed by the new President," according to the website. As Raw Story reported on Tuesday, the leader of Operation American Spring, retired Army Col. Harry Riley, gave in an interview in January explaining his group's plans. "It is unclear how this will all unravel but we are calling for the removal of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Harry Reid, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Nancy Pelosi, and Eric Holder as a start toward constitutional restoration," Riley told Beforeitsnews.com. "They have all abandoned the US Constitution, are unworthy to be retained in a position that calls for servant status." The interviewer brought up past protest actions, "Ride For The Constitution" plan last year, that fizzled out when it came time to realize their plans. Riley said he and his group had learned from the truckers' example. "We learn from every event," he said. "I don’t agree the the Truckers effort was a total failure. They have paved the way, we will expand on it…the difference is that Operation American Spring will not be just a ride through Washington, D.C., we will be there in massive numbers and intend to remain there until acceptable solutions are gained."
I know that people like to think that their own ideas represent the majority, but these people are delusional. I'm actually a little surprised if "hundreds" showed up instead of "dozens". Thinking that 10-30 million (1 out of every 10-20 adults in the US) would show up is ****ing bat**** insane.
so basically it takes the median wage for one day to disrupt a movement like this. Not exactly a strong line of belief. The fact they called this the American Spring is a travesty. They should look into the eyes of people who were tortured and died for democracy in Egypt. It's the same bulls**t as those who said Bundy looked like Tiananmen (???). Most people who would attend something like this won't fight for what they stand for. NBD
As if that connotes some value. One death in Egypt sparked a revolution that changed a regime that had been in place for forty years. Put some money on that, seeing as how nobody is willing to put any action in America. Give me a million of these above median wage earners. The guy who created OpenSSL on $20,000 a year will be "worth" more. And Mohamed Bouazizi---and Jan Palach---started movements much beyond anything any money in the world could ever buy.
I wonder if their money will taste of freedom when they eat it. They could always burn it and use it to create a new Constitution, seeing as how they don't seem too clear on how the current one works.
I just said give me a million people who earn $x amount per year, and compare them to this one dude who "earns" $20,000. I believe I am being very clear on your question.
Its people have fought through more **** than any of these organizers will ever have, even if it's for a flawed democracy. To compare the two situations is to invite ridicule on many many levels for the organizers.
Not OWSers that's for sure. Pretty easy to start on OWS rally in front of city hall when half are already there.
