Is it like a soundtrack for the movie or Jay-Z's new album or both? I haven't heard a lead single yet but I'm usually behind on new music anyway.

Glory,Training Day, Malcolm X,Remember the Titans= all vastly different characters....
You could also add in the movie he directed "Antoine Fisher" or "Manchurian Canidate" or the "Mighty Quinn" or "The Hurricane"

If you don't think Denzel is a fantastic actor you are in the minority. I would'nt go as far as to say you have a bad taste in movies, but.........

I dont mind watching Denzel play similar roles in movies, it's what he's done well in, and I enjoyed most of them.

Wow close to 3 hours long? Hmm

    Best. Movie. Ever.

Denzel Washington is the John Wayne our time. He may disappoint in terms of the range in which you may expect for a great American actor, but what he did in this film I will remember for a lifetime.

Russell Crowe was as compelling as you would expect but Armand Assante should get consideration for best supporting actor in a very limited but powerful role.

American Gangster is a bad ass film.

I second this! Except the best movie ever part. That's reserved for something girly like "The Notebook". :p

Denzel is my favorite actor. He is a badass. I disagree with Swoly's take 100%. Can't wait to see this movie.

denzel put out a nice string of generic roles, but that shouldn't taint how good his body of work is. i haven't seen a denzel movie since training day because they've all looked terrible but i'll see this tonight. i probably wouldn't if russell crowe wasn't in it though.

Cool to see the posters on ClutchFans giving it good reviews. I usually agree when I see films recommended by the board.

it was a good movie, nothing really new or mindblowing but i'd get the dvd and watch it again. i think blow is a fair comparison but this one isn't quite as good.

imo, it didn't feel like a long movie which is a definite plus.
