Glen's fake death was like somebody eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich...and somehow miraculously leaving all the jelly behind. lol
Shows do this all the time though. How many times have we seen somebody get killed, but we don't see the body. Then they show up later in the series alive and well? Legends of Tomorrow made viewers believe they killed off Heatwave. He later showed up as another character. I'm not understanding the difference is all.
Spoiler AS I said before, her death will have the most impact outside of Rick & Carl for the simple fact that she is Rick's main squeeze. IMO, her death would be just as gut wrenching as if it was Glenn's. Comic fans and many viewers have already experienced the Glenn kill from those comic panels online. This would be a 2nd gut punch that people won't expect. She is a female character that people believe the show has no guts to kill off. Comic spoiler Spoiler Her death will be the perfect reason for Carl to go alone at Negan to take revenge later on in the story line. Her character is still alive in the comic, how is that for a new direction. People complain about there hasn't been much for Daryl to do in the show, we can say that about Michonne's character as well. She won't be hooking up with Ezekiel since she is with Rick. So, it makes sense that she doesn't make it.
Semantics IMO. They said Jon Snow was dead and they went out of their way to make sure we knew he was dead for a long time until the promotional pictures came out for the 6th season. Didn't they even take his name off of stuff so people would continue to speculate if the Actor was coming back? Isn't that just as misleading? I'm still failing to understand the Glen fake death backlash. This happens all the time on tv.
I don't think everyone was mad about Glenn's fake death I think it's that they took several episodes to show what happened to him. Other than that it was a very smart and interesting thing to do and it got everyone talking.
Spoiler They are not killing Michonne. She has taken he role of Andrea from the comics. There is no way the producers will kill a black woman character with a baseball bat after all the crap they have taken with killing of the male black actors. It is bad enough when they Morgan they will get "another black character dies......" (if they follow the comic)
Can't beat a woman with a bat CAn't beat a pregnant woman with a bat Can't beat a black woman Can't beat a black man **** it...kill the asian. No one cares about him hahahaha
I just find it funny that some folks here are arguing about why you can't kill certain characters on the show. I understand continuity to the comics but the some of the reasons being that someone is a woman, pregnant or black seems kind of odd to me. It's a fictional show. Negan is killing them not because they are of that gender or race. He's just killing them period.
It is the same logic you are arguing Michonne will be killed. Your logic is shock value....our logic is that Michonne is a very important character based on the comics. Since others were already killed that are still alive in the comics, they will not killed Michonne because she is the substitute for those characters. It is important for Glenn to die because of what Maggie becomes after his death. I almost say it is pivotal to the story going forward.
AND.....although there has been some deviation from the comics, they are following the same basic storylines. Glenn's death is a PIVOTAL point.
