‎Breaking Bad just further distanced itself from the competition. Best non-HBO series on television.
Don't really know what HBO series compares with it either. That was a phenomenal premiere! Breaking Bad and Mad Men are just leagues ahead of the competition these days.
they didn't drop off at all with this first episode. Although I am worried the season will contain too many scenes of Hank or Pinkman in a mental funk. That wouldn't be incredibly interesting. Hopefully one of them will get their **** sorted out quickly. This show always makes me realize how pathetic Weeds is (a show with a similar premise).
I'm trying to remember, did Gale know Walt's full name? It's a bit implausible that Gus would allow Gale to take a notebook out of the lab, but I'm willing to overlook that if it advances the plot in an interesting way.
Spoiler I think he did it because Victor showed up at the crime scene and could be identified. That's why the hitman asked him if anyone saw him or Jesse there.
Spoiler I can't remember why Saul was so paranoid? I kinda of remember someone found a bug......anybody want to help me out? I haven't seen the last episode since it first aired but this season came off pretty good. Also loved the Lavell Crawford cameo. He is one of my favorite comedians and his scene with him just breathing hard staring at the secretary had me laughing.
Victor overstepped his bounds and showed he had greater ambitions for himself than Gus wanted and sloppily dealt with Gale by not protecting him and then showing his face at the crime scene. He tried to overcompensate with the whole "I know all the steps to cooking" thing like he needed to prove himself. Besides the practical reasons of Gus not wanting a potential leak (i.e. Victor being identified by one of the other neighbors), it showed he didn't really know his place in the pecking order.
I'm a Song of Ice & Fire fanboy for years and years now, so I'm a bit biased towards Game of Thrones. But as far as an original drama goes, Breaking Bad is definitely miles ahead of anything else.
Except Walt doesn't bang every client he gets. I hate that I still watch Weeds for some lame ass reason...
