I've been making it a point the last few games to replay in slo-mo the foul each time Harden gets to the line. Conclusion? Still looks the same, Harden gets hacked on the arms and hands something ridiculous just about every drive to the basket.

I'm surprised he hasn't started wearing forearm padding...

Well, gulp. Afterlife doesn't look too promising for him

Harden definitely 'sells contact', there's no denying it. The thing is that Harden doesn't constantly fall over like a tornado a la Chris Paul, Derek Fisher, or Tony Parker.

He forces the contact and NBA refs have to blow the whistle because the NBA is over-officiated. It's a league issue, not all on Harden.

People were just as upset about this kind of thing back in the Allen Iverson - Manu Ginobili - Dwyane Wade - Dirk Nowitski prime years.

Okay peeps, I want you to try and emulate what Harden does next time you're out playing ball. 99% you will get fouled.

Hmmmm...I wonder why someone who constantly drives to the rim would get fouled so much?

Amar'e should focus a lot of criticism on his own play. How did he fare against our NBDL interior scrubs last night? If he had played to even 1/10 of his contract, the Knicks could have beaten a Rockets team missing it's starting 4&5. Give me a break.

Who? Amar'e? Is that a joke?

He has one of the worst contracts in the NBA now. Maybe Kobe's is worse. But it is a pretty tough competition between those two.

When you watch Harden drive to the basket in slow motion, he has this habit of sticking the ball out with both arms fully extended. When I used to play basketball (never too competitively, but still) I was always coached to keep the ball close to my body. But Harden holds it out almost as far as he can. I think it is just instinct of the other players to try to swipe at it. But Harden is so strong that he is still able to hold on to it.

Actually, I've read that Harden has some of the strongest hands in the league and his ability to hold onto the ball with it stretched out far away from his body is unmatched. Notice, he does the same thing when he is in the Triple Threat. He loves sticking the ball out there to bait the defense and rarely turns the ball over when he does so.

So yes, us mere mortals need to keep the ball in close to our body. But Harden can get away with it and that is a big part of what allows him to draw so many fouls. He holds the ball out away from his body just baiting the opponent to go get it.

And the refs will sometimes dial back, as they did in the Portland series ("you know, maybe we are being too generous to the guy..."

    It's Tracy's long lost cousin Brady O'Grady!
