The Asik/Howard combo needs more time on the court to be properly evaluated, but so far it looks like there's a lot of potential there. That being said, a reasonable argument can be made that the Rockets can get a better fit via a trade, with the most commonly cited version of this being an Asik for Anderson/Millsap swap.

I don't think we'll see a trade that brings in a 3rd superstar to Houston. IMO, Houston just doesn't have the assets left to pull it off (I love Lin/Asik, but even combined, their value is a lot less than a legit max-contract player). And personally, I prefer a team with 2 superstars and a lot of depth than a team with 3 stars and a bunch of minimum/rookie-scale contracts anyways.

But what if we step outside the box for a second and instead of trading Asik for an above average PF, we considered swapping Howard for a top PF like Love/Horford? A trade like this would never happen, but I think it'd be close to fair in terms of value for both sides.

Talking purely hypothetically, what trio would you prefer if given the choice?

    Harden/Howard/Asik?
Harden/Howard and your choice of Anderson/Millsap/Ilyasova?
Harden/Asik and your choice of Love/Horford?
