For me, it's Game 1 of the 2nd Finals in 1995, when Kenny Smith hits a 3 pointer over Penny Hardaway after Nate Anderson missed 4 free throws http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hd1D-u8oAfo#t=5m08s
1995, Western Conference Finals, Game 2, Rockets vs Spurs. Robinson received the MVP trophy that night and Hakeem played the most determined, focused, and ANGRY game of basketball in his life...
one of my personal favorites is Shane Battier's 3 vs the Lakers Opening Night in 2007, Novaks 3 to keep the streak going in 2008....
Olajuwan sitting on the scorers table and just taking it all in following the first championship. It was one of the best feelings in my life knowing that my favorite team had the best player on the planet and they were champions of the world. My Dad loved all the Houston teams so much only to have his heart broken so many times. He actually cried following the win. Now I'm hoping I will get to experience the same thing with my daughter who watches almost every Rockets game with me.
Mine as well. Has to be when Hakeem destroyed Robinson after he stole Hakeem's MVP trophy. Maybe history will repeat it's self.
Robert Horry, Sam Cassell, Mad Max, and Mario Elie's hitting dagger after dagger in clutch moments in the first championship season.
Yeah, that was one hell of a performance! I loved that even in interviews afterwards Robinson basically admits he could do nothing against Hakeem. I'd love to see history repeat itself, especially if it means we get some good playoff basketball!
Haha, such a great one, definitely remember Nick the Brick! Even though game 1, it basically broke Orlando the rest of the series, and Nick Anderson went from like ~70% FT shooting to like 40% for most of the rest of his career.
The block on Starks edit. Adding video. If this isn't in your top two, you weren't alive then or you aren't a rockets fan. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CzUv5_YFhPI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
