What does defensive match ups have to do with assigning a position, especially in this age of basketball?
They should get rid of fan voting. They were right to let players vote but there needs to be specific rules like, you cannot vote for any player on your team and you must take the votes seriously or you'll be fined and every non-g league player must vote. The last part should be self-explanatory, if you vote for players who don't even come close to being an all-star (ex. Chandler Parsons), you should be fined and have your vote rescinded next year. The only reason why player voting failed before is because there are literally no rules to the voting and players weren't taking it seriously. Also, players who announced their retirement and is playing their last season out can get in as an extra spot if their resume fits the bill.
It's obvious, NBA doesn't want there to be friction between Lebron and Luka stans. Clearly both Lebron and Luka are point forwards.
I haven't bothered to check but in an utterly guard dominated league and these idiots are still going with 3:2 f/g, right? Maybe they can shoot in peach baskets too then.

Ok. Let’s not complain about everything. It really makes us look like we’re as bad as the public portrays Rockets fans. This system was set up before ways where we could make wild accusations of bias, and actually they changed it in a way that has helped Harden in the past because they implemented the coaches/media input which made Harden a starter even though he wasn’t a top 2 in fan voting. Were we complaining about this when Yao got voted in his rookie year? Pretty sure there were a couple other years that he probably shouldn’t have started. Lastly, I’d like to see Luka get more votes than Lebron. Lebron is not a fan of Harden and we all know he’ll pick him last. Curious to see what Luka would do.
who really cares. no one watches the all-star game anymore anyways. i hope harden and russ don’t even get picked by coaches so they can just rest up that whole weekend. also tilman can’t afford all-star bonus incentives.
