It's always Yao's year. THere is ZERO question. Ever since Shaq changed conferences, they'll both always make and and compete against each other.

Unless Shaq is injured...or 40 years old...(which he is already starting to play like)

    Go Rockets.

Even with SHAQ yao would win. Since he came into the league he has been one of the most popular players in the NBA.

You don't need more games to judge popularities.

I certainly see your point, and it crossed my mind while I was voting. But it's fun to do, and, if you think about it, gives you a chance to see how your favorite Rocket(s) fit in with best of the west, and how they match up with the beasts in the east.

1 star for being a Rocket fan and not voting for T-Mac! Not his year? WTF is that!??

    I voted for

    Yao, Battier, Artest, McGrady, Parker

    Shaq, Iguodala, Pierce, Carter, Iverson

    Write-in vote: Chuck Hayes :)

Ya, I know, but I couldn't resist putting a lights-out shooter on the perimeter for Yao!!! I would like more consistency on the glass out of Yao, but he sure as hell has raised his game so far up this year that I see him right now as the centerpiece for a collection of the NBA's best. Right now, I see Yao as a top 5 player in the NBA. T-Mac isn't on that level, and I hate to say it, but I think that T-Mac is not the kind of player to build a team around. I think sometimes that an off game from T-Mac hurts us less than a quiet game from Yao.
