All-Star is a popularity contest. All-NBA team is a popularity contest with different people voting. The NBA championship is yet another popularity contest with OTHER people (Stern & and his Refs) voting.
1. Kobe has a lifetime appointment regardless. 2. Why can't they use the format of positions, instead, only one player from each single position. They'll have two shooting guards or point guards, or have two small forwards. What's wrong with having one a piece, like the All-Pro teams. 3. Nowitzki and Randolph definitely deserved it over Pau, who is not better than either of two. 4. I would've given Rondo the edge of over Ginobili, especially since the teams aren't positioned base.
