Perhaps. As far as how mine is going: Are ABA championships really that meaningless? Do you discredit what Gilmore, Issel, Erving, McGinnis, Hawkins etc. did in the ABA? All the MVPs, the Honor teams, the stats they put up? Just curious.
Sigh. Everyone voting for me is making Havlicek look crappy? I thought he was a top 20 player all time?
It is almost midnight in Australia, will do the other match ups tomorrow. Oh, and to answer your question. No. The ABA rocked man!
good question. i'm not that familiar with what the ABA was all about, so i'd like to hear from someone who knows all about that.
it's interesting how some judges are deciding by each individual player matchup and some are looking at it as a whole.
Wow.. Why everyone here wanted me to lose? Did i ever made a lopsided trade or take advantage of someone?
You have a very good team. Of course people want you to lose. Other people want to win as well I really like how the judges are actually looking into all the matchups.
VBG, If my team can somehow pull out 1 vote in 5 judges and if tmac can magically get out of the first round, I would be up against you next right?
Nah. That's what I thought last matchup. I was up by like 4 with 10 mins left for voting. I lost in the semis after 5 people voted against me.
That won't happen this time. Not when I have Stockton and Malone. I gambled with them, and now I'm paying for it. Not saying that I should be winning; not at all. I just get the feeling it has an affect on the scorecard; mostly on Stockton. Feel like Barry is being underrated as a defender when he led the league in steals in '75; the year I meant to have used but was not able to change it before it got pasted. Gervin is the better scorer by a slight margin, tho. McGrady and Marion; I think it's closer than a lot of people think, given the H2H stats. As far as Gilmore vs Mt. Mutombo goes; it's up in the air. Maybe they know something I don't when I looked at the statistics. Archibald > Billups of course. Moncrief was a really good defender; yet no mention of Eddie Jones' defensive prowess. He made an All-NBA team and an All-Defensive Team in his prime year. Nobody's really talked about Schayes' impact. He is somebody I'd like to know more about in regards to his game. Issel is more or less a poor man's Dirk chopped down a few inches. Are judges supposed to be going off of their prime year or on overall careers? Just checking.
