Which movie is the best James Cameron action movie? I vote Terminator 2. It's my favorite movie of all-time.

Aliens. While the liquid metal terminator was a cool idea and executed well in Terminator 2, the xenomorphs from the Alien universe remain some of the most inately terrifying creatures I have ever seen on film. I love that movie. Plus a young Sigorney in her panties.
Aliens is bad ass end to end, even today. T2 had a couple dead spots and hasn't aged as well. Both were outstanding though.

Aliens hands down, I personally don't think T2 has aged very well. Aliens on the other hand is still impressive everytime I watch it.
Aliens is a great, great movie but I still think it's T2 by far. Especially if you're going in with a blank slate and you don't know Arnold is the good guy until the moment he doesn't kill John Conner at first sight. Also, Aliens loses it a little for me when the queen takes the elevator - c'mon man. It also ruins the direction Scott wanted to take the android characters in IMO. Also T2 soundtrack > Aliens.
havent seen any Alien movie except Prometheus. I am thinking about getting the Alien Anthology Set on Blu-Ray. Is it worth the time & $$$? Egg Edition or regular set.
1 and 2 maybe. 3 and 4 are trash. Remember these are monster movies, so I doubt they have all that much in common with Prometheus (haven't seen Prometheus).
Prometheus is held in the same universe. Prometheus is far more mentally involved, but there is plenty in common between the two. Are we talking Alien or Aliens? Not the same movie.

That was my point. They aren't rly the same genre of movie (though again I haven;t seen Prometheus so I am going off of other's reviews) Alien and Aliens I was referring to as '1 and 2' . They were both pretty good.
Okay, I would say they are different genres, but I would also consider Alien and Terminator different as well. Alien is a horror movie, while Terminator is action. Prometheus falls into a suspense/thriller category. My second question was poised for the OP, as some posters have to referred to scenes in Alien, but his choice is Aliens. Edit: Now I'm screwing up Alien & Aliens. Been a long time since I watched Aliens (which is action), need to re-watch.
Alien (the 1st movie) and Aliens (the 2nd) are great. Alien is slow and a little low tech but still very good. They are better than Prometheus. Prometheus is only better at special effects and technology. The 3rd and 4th Alien are so-so.
