Yesterday at pratice before they let fans in for open scrimmage Alexander Johnson was killing Jordan Hill on 1 on 1 post drills. Hill was pushed out of position and had to shoot fade aways and hook shots (he didn't make any). AJ threw down two dunks and a couple of layups......

Jared Jeffries was clowning him (Hill) saying he needed to guard him (AJ).

Possible reason for this: Jordan Hill isn't actually that good.

    Lol ^^ most likely true..

He still has a LONG way to go. PatPat will probably get more pt than him.

Possible reason for that: The thing you heard on clutchfans may have been an overly optimistic projection rather than a reflection of reality.

Apologize in advance for blowing your mind so early in the week.

... and this is one of the reasons Morey is actively looking for another center. Hill can finish on a break, has a nice hook shot, but that's it. Dude has no defensive presence whatsoever.

I was at one of the summer league games, and I can't tell you how disappointed was to see Hill getting punked by some of those scrub centers. Imagine how he would do against NBA starting centers.

AJ went 23 and 11 in the DLeague last year. I doubt JHill could do that.

AJ was a monster. It seems as if Mike Harris has improved his shot. He was draining three pointers yesterday. Ish looked really good too. Lowry had a hard time keeping him in front of him.

Pat is definitely better than Hill right now. Hopefully Patterson gets to backup Scola this season. Hill needs to work on a faceup game cause he ain't that strong in the post and his back to the basket game isn't really all that good. He should work on handling the ball while facing up then attacking and using his athleticism to get a step on his defender to score.

Hill is a Mikka Moore clone, good off the ball for weakside blocks but not really all that good on the ball etc....

As of right now, Hayes is the primary backup to Scola.

Oh no, we were going to use him as trade bait!! Did AJ go to jail?! What a cruel man--and to do it in such a public place. Tragedy indeed.. RIP!

Good comparison. I think Hill has a little more strength than Moore, but not much. Bottom line is.....he's got good athleticism but he doesn't know how to make the most out of it. I believe he started playing basketball late, something like last two years of high school. The bball iq just isn't there.
